Bojin is a traditional meridian technique applied to the face. It doesn't just work on the surface — it targets frozen microcirculation, flushes out metabolic waste and lymphatic toxins, and wakes up your skin's natural ability to heal itself.
One session unblocks congestion, restarts sluggish circulation, lifts and sculpts the facial contour, and leaves skin visibly brighter, firmer and more alive.

A structured full-face bojin session — prep, meridian work zone by zone, then a hydrating finish.
Face is thoroughly cleansed, then a warm towel is applied to open the pores and soften the skin — preparing the meridians for effective bojin work.
A nourishing massage oil is applied across the face to allow smooth, precise bojin strokes and protect the skin during the technique.
Bojin strokes along the neck channels clear the primary lymphatic drainage pathways — a critical first step to allow the rest of the face to properly flush out toxins.
Precise strokes along the jawline release tension, reduce puffiness and help sculpt and define the lower facial contour.
Upward bojin strokes across the cheeks stimulate circulation and restore lost volume and firmness — a visible lifting effect with regular treatment.
Targeted work on the smile line area helps soften deep nasolabial folds by releasing the underlying muscle tension and improving local circulation.
Bojin along the nose sides and bridge unblocks congestion in this commonly neglected zone, refining the nose area and supporting better skin breathing.
Light, careful bojin around the orbital bone reduces puffiness, relieves tension from eye strain and helps fade dark circles by improving local microcirculation.
Horizontal and upward bojin strokes across the forehead release tension, smooth expression lines and promote drainage from this frequently stressed area.
The session closes at the temples and pre-auricular points — key collection points for facial lymph. This final step seals the drainage pathway and deeply calms the nervous system.
A deeply hydrating mask is applied to the freshly unblocked skin — pores are open and receptive, so active ingredients absorb far more effectively. Skin finishes firm, clear and luminous.
Answers to what our clients ask most often.
They're related but different. Both use a tool with stroking technique, but bojin is specifically focused on the meridian channels and fascia — the goal is to unblock microcirculation, flush lymphatic waste and restart the skin's self-repair. Gua sha on the body is typically firmer; facial bojin is more precise and gentle, adapted for the delicate structures of the face.
Some temporary pinkness or mild flushing is normal — it indicates circulation has been activated. This typically fades within 30–60 minutes. We recommend booking the session when you have a bit of downtime after, rather than right before an event.
For first-timers, once every 2–4 weeks allows the skin to respond and repair between sessions. As your skin condition improves, you can adjust to monthly maintenance. Our therapist will advise based on how your skin responds.
Bojin is generally well-tolerated, but if you have active breakouts, rosacea, open wounds or very reactive skin, please let us know before booking so we can adjust the pressure and technique accordingly.
Many clients notice brighter, more lifted skin immediately after the first session. More significant changes — improved contour, reduced puffiness, faded spots — typically develop over 3–5 sessions as circulation and lymphatic flow improve consistently.
Come with a clean face if possible — no heavy makeup needed. After the session, drink plenty of water to support the lymphatic flushing process, and avoid heavy sun exposure for the rest of the day. We'll walk you through the full aftercare at the end of your session.
